We are saddened to hear the news of the passing of Charlie McDevitt, Churchtown or Charlie Mc as he was known to us all.
Charlie was a lifelong supporter of the club and was part of the club executive for over 50 years, he was chairman first in 1963 a position he held for the last time in 2002 being re-elected on numerous occasions during those years, he was also honoured to be club president from 2011 – 2013 and we will always be grateful for all he did for the club.
Reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara (F94 A250) at 2pm today Wednesday 26th with removal to his late residence (F94 DP48) arriving at 4pm. Rosary at 9pm.
Removal from his home on Thursday evening to arrive at St. Cartha’s Church Kilcar (F94 H2Y5) for 7pm.
Funeral mass on Friday morning at 11am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
A one way system will be in place with the entrance to the wake via the coast road and upper Churchtown. A shuttle bus from the Aislann Carpark will also be in operation.
