Barry Breslin RIP

Details

CLG Chill Chartha would like to express our sincerest condolences to Barry’s Fiancée Melissa, his son Tommy, his parents Seamus and Mary, to his brothers Owen and Shane and to all his family and many, many friends.

It was a great shock to us all when the news reached us this morning of the untimely passing of Barry in Australia, Barry played underage for the club for many years and is fondly remembered by the players and all who were involved at the time and to his mother Mary, a tireless volunteer and supporter of our club over the years, our hearts go out to you and your family and we pass on our prayers to you all at this sad time, ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Minor Ladies Final

Details

Our Minor Ladies Division 3 Final will take place this weekend on Saturday 5th of October in Páirc Naomh Bríd, Ballintra/Laghey as they will face their opponents Naomh Adhamhnáin, Leitir Ceanainn.

Beidh Cluiche Ceannais Roinn 3 na mBan Mionúr ar siúl an deireadh seachtaine seo ar an Satharn 5ú Deireadh Fómhair i bPáirc Naomh Bríd, Baile an tSratha/Laighean agus iad ag tabhairt aghaidh ar a gcéilí comhraic Naomh Adhamhnáin, Leitir Ceanainn.

On behalf of the Ladies Board & everyone here within the club would like to take this opportunity to wish both the Minor Ladies team/management and to those involved the very best of luck in their upcoming Division 3 Final this weekend.

As always, it would be great to see as much support as possible up at our Minor Ladies match on Saturday support is always welcome and appreciated at both home & away matches.

Message from the Ladies Board

Details
On behalf of the Ladies Board here at C.L.G Chartha, we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Junior A Shield Winners who had a fantastic win against Urris Senior Ladies in Páirc Mhic Diarmada, Leifear on Sunday morning 29th of September 2024.
 
Our Senior Ladies had put in huge efforts, time and commitment for this season while having achieved so much from previous years. They have stepped up from Division 3 League to Divison 2 along with the achievement of stepping up from Junior B Championship to Junior A.
 
With great efforts from the team, the Ladies gave both the League and Championship matches of 2024 a good battle this year. This season has given our new and current players a new sense of experience playing at quicker paced games.
 
We as a team hope to continue to see more of these games over the next few years as our team is developing each year with new and returning players coming through.
 
To the management, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank Neillie, Noel and Gary for all their time, hard work and commitment yet again this year with our Senior Ladies.
 
It is hard to thank everyone individually, but to cover all bases, we would like to thank everyone who has attended/supported our Ladies matches throughout the year and to those who have taking their time out to help within the team itself in anyway we greatly appreciate it.
 
Final note, we would like to send our special thanks Aiden Gallagher from Gallagher Guttering for proudly sponsoring our Senior Ladies with new training jerseys. Pictured below is some of our Ladies kitted out in their new training jerseys.
