Tá CLG Chill Chartha ag ceiliúradh ár gcomóradh céad bliain an bhliain seo, agus mar chuid de sin beidh muid ag ceiliúradh ar an Satharn 3ú Lúnasa.
Ar dtús beidh lá spraoi teaghlaigh againn ag Páirc Tamhnaigh, le cluichí spraíúil CLG do fhir, mná agus páistí ag 11.30am. Chomh maith leis sin, beidh rudaí eile ag tarlú sa lá idir cluichí agus gníomhaíochtaí go dtí 4pm.
Tar éis seo ó 6.30pm agus ar aghaidh beidh imeacht eile ag tarlú sa Blue Haven le fáiltiú dí, bia agus taispeántas de chuimhneacháin spóirt CLG Chill Chartha.
Beidh Austin O’Callaghan ann mar fhear an tí, is deis iontach é seo chun an Cumann Lúthchleas Gael a cheiliúradh, agus níos mó a fhoghlaim faoi stair pheile i gCill Chartha.

Then from 6:30pm in The Blue Haven join us for our centenary night with drinks reception on arrival, food, exhibition of club memorabilia, GAA president Jarlath Burns will be in attendance, guest speakers, a short history of our club on the big screens and music later with "The Minertones" your MC for the night will be Austin O'Callaghan.
It will be a night not to be missed and defiantly one to remember as we celebrate the 100th year since the founding of the club. Our minors had a great win away to Killybegs in the league and they host Bundoran this Tuesday in their next fixture, our under 14s were defeated away at Naomh Columba on Saturday they host St Nauls this Saturday.

This scholarship affords GAA members in Ulster an opportunity to study on Ulster University’s Diploma in Irish.
The Gaeilge sa Chlub (‘Irish in the Club’) scholarship scheme for adult learners of Irish is a joint initiative from Ulster GAA and Ulster University. This enterprise aims to promote the use of Irish within clubs throughout Ulster by providing financial assistance to GAA members who sign up for a Diploma in Irish Language.
The continued success of this Ulster GAA and Ulster University collaboration provides financial support for GAA members and continues to be a fantastic pathway to a high level of proficiency in Irish. This partnership not only opens the door to third level education for many, but also allows GAA clubs to benefit from an increased awareness and promotion of Irish language.

Our seniors were defeated in their final league match in Gaoth Dobhair on Saturday due to injuries and players being unavailable we were unable to field a reserve team as players were needed for the senior match, this is the first time in a long time we have had to do this. Next matches are on August 10th away to St Eunans in the opening rounds of the championships with 3pm and 4:30pm start times.

It was semi-final disappointment for Paddy, Ryan and the Donegal team who narrowly lost to Galway in Croke Park on Sunday, but it was overall a fantastic season for the county and you did us all proud.

It was a disappointing afternoon for our senior sides against Naomh Conaill on Sunday, our reserves lost their unbeaten record after a 1-11 to 1-07 loss and were left to rue several clear cut goal chances while our senior were well beaten by a very impressive Naomh Conaill side, their next league match is away to Bundoran on Saturday week.

RIP Aidan O Donnell
We pass on our heartfelt condolences to Aiden’s wife Mary, his Mother, Bridie, his sons Aidan (Aine) and Kevin (Lisa), his grandchildren, his brothers John, Declan and Ciaran, sisters Maureen, Eithne, Una, Eilish, Sheila and Michelle. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Aidan played underage and senior football with Cill Chartha and was a member of the 3 in a row winning U21 teams of 1972, 73 & 74 and was on the Cill Chartha team who won the 1975 Division 1 league. He also played with Báile Mhúirne in Cork and won a junior football championship with Killashandra, Co Cavan. Later he managed a Naomh Ultan team who won a Minor Championship.

Our seniors defeated Aodh Ruadh 1-15 to 1-09 on Saturday evening with Conor Doherty getting the goal, there was no reserve match as Aodh Ruadh did not field. Both sides make the long trip to Malin this Sunday.

Well done to our seniors who won the County Comortas Peile title in Cloughaneely on Monday, in the semi final they had a narrow one point win against the hosts and then on Monday they defeated Gaoth Dobhair 0-12 to 0-10 to book their place in the finals on June bank holiday weekend in Cill na Martra, Co Cork. Our senior ladies were defeated at Naomh Naille 3-09 to 2-07 in the Junior Comortas Peile in tough conditions on Sunday morning, they make the trip to Gaoth Dobhair in round three this Sunday. Our under 16s were defeated away to Naomh Ultan on Tuesday they travel to Naomh Muire this Tuesday.
Ticket information for Donegal v Derry 2024 Ulster Senior Championship Quarter Final
Saturday April 20th @ 6:15pm in Celtic Park, Derry.
The county is receiving a small allocation of stand tickets which will be allocated to clubs based on adult membership.
Terrace tickets are for the Bluebell terrace (opposite stand) and Brandywell college field (behind goals). These are designated terraces and will appear on the ticket. The club will receive an allocation to both.

- Juvenile €5
Any club member wishing to put their name in for a ticket is asked to contact club secretary Stephen O’Donnell on 086 1304728 by 5pm on Tuesday 9th April. No late orders will be taken. If the clubs order exceeds the number of tickets available, the county will use the same criteria as that used for allocation to stand.
Gaelic for Mothers and Others
After some successful feedback and with great interest we are delighted to announce that our club now is facilitating Gaelic for Mothers and Others at 8-9pm on Mondays at Páirc Tamhnaigh, Cill Chartha.
All past or new members are welcome to attend our Gaelic for Mothers and Others. This is a great way to get out of the house and about to meet new people and since it is a non-competitive campaign it is a great way to socialise and meet new teams from other clubs for fun.

Our under 18s were beaten by Naomh Columba while the under 14s lost to Ardara. Our under 12s travel to Na Rossa on Wednesday, the under 10s are at Naomh Ultan on Thursday, our under 16s host Termon on Friday, the under 8s are in Dungloe on Saturday morning while the under 18s host Dungloe next Monday evening.

Our seniors opened their league campaign with a 1-11 to 1-07 win over St Eunans in Towney on Easter Saturday evening, Stephen McBrearty got the goal. The visitors did not field a reserve team, there’s no league matches this weekend as we have a bye. Congratulations to Paddy and Ryan and the Donegal team on winning the division two title on Sunday.

Sean Mac Cumhaills are hosting Scór Sinsir (Senior) county final in the Balor Arts Centre, Ballybofey on March 1st at 7pm.
What is Scór?
Scór is a GAA competition that combines all the colour and rivalry of Gaelic Games with the social/fun element of Ireland's traditional past-times.
There are eight events/disciplines in Scór that cover all aspects of Irish culture:
- Rince Foirne - Figure or Céilí Dancing
- Amhránaíocht Aonair - Solo Singing
- Aithriseoireacht/Scéalaíocht - Recitation/Storytelling
- Bailéad Ghrúpa - Ballad Group

Patrick McBrearty scored 0-04 and Ryan McHugh played his part in Donegal’s Division Two National league win away to Cavan, there’s no match this weekend. Patrick McBrearty scored 1-06 and Ryan McHugh got a point in the opening 2024 Division Two National league campaign win against Cork the final score was 1-20 to 2-06, they travel to Cavan in their next match this Sunday at 4pm.

Scór Sinsir 2024
Tá na dátaí le haghaidh Scór Sinsir 2024 deimhnithe. The dates for Scór Sinsir have been confirmed with the All-Ireland Finals taking place in the INEC, Killarney, on Saturday, 11th of May.
Sean Mac Cumhaill’s are hosting Scór Sinsir (Senior) county final in the Balor Arts Centre, Ballybofey on March 1st at 7pm.
What is Scór?
Scór is a GAA competition that combines all the colour and rivalry of Gaelic Games with the social/fun element of Ireland's traditional past-times.
There are eight events/disciplines in Scór that cover all aspects of Irish culture:
